Three Limericks on the Virus
The Star Tribune sponsored a limericks contest for April. They wanted to make it timely and clean. Here are three I submitted. I didn’t win. No surprise.
The guv says the virus has almost ended
Oh yeah! Oh boy! How splendid!
So I put on my mask
Stood in line to get vaxed
That’s how the whole thing ended
I don’t think it’s very cool
Not to be back in school
I miss my teachers and mates
In class is what it takes
Not to be thought a fool
Everyone’s wish-in’ and hope-in’
For the day the economy is open
Businesses are tremulous
Waiting for stimulus
Some at the end of their rope-in’
You should at least get a Participation Award.
