PANIC

Trump told Bob Woodworth that he always wanted to downplay the virus because he didn’t want to create panic.  Now with over 200,000 dead, and projections of nearly double that by year’s end, the question is when do we panic?  By the way, 400,000 is nearly the population of Minneapolis.  But don’t worry because Minneapolis is run by a bunch of blue state socialist Democrats, not Trumpers.

This past week Ruth Bader Ginsburg, “Notorious RBG” died and left a vacancy on the Supreme Court.  Noted for her support of women’s and human rights, her vacancy has left liberals in a panic.  Disregarding what they said about not filling a vacancy in an election year, the Senate Elephants are poised to slam-dunk a conservative judge on the court before the election.  They have the numbers and there is nothing that Donkeys can do about it except beat their chests and cry foul.  But in the long run, if Democrats win the Senate and the Presidency, they could expand the numbers on the Court, and maybe even impose term limits.  However, in the meantime with a conservative majority on the Court, Roe v. Wade could be overturned, the Affordable Care Act gutted, voting rights impaired, and environmental protections discarded.  And who knows what else.  Many are in a panic.

Trump doesn’t want to create a panic over the virus, but he’s doing his best to create panic on a number of other fronts:  black and brown people moving into the suburbs terrorizing housewives;  undocumented foreigners crashing the border bringing crime and drugs; claiming that socialism has overtaken the Democratic party;  saying that if Biden is elected he’ll be coming after your guns; massive election fraud with mail-in ballots; etc.  But don’t worry about coronavirus, it will be going away “like magic.”

In about six weeks Americans will be going to the polls.  Some say this is the most consequential election on our history.  Some fear that if the election is close the results will be thrown to be decided by a rigged Supreme Court.  As Trump is fond of saying:  we’ll see what happens.  All I can say is Wake Up America.  It is time to panic.  AAAAHHHHHH!
