“I don’t think I have to prepare very much,” Trump said. “It’s about attitude. It’s about willingness to get things done.”—Trump commenting on upcoming talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Trump also told Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that Canada had burned down the White House during the war of 1812. I’m not making this up.
Makes you wonder how he passed American History. Reminds me of that song: “Don’t know much about history….” But I guess you don’t need to know much when you have one of the finest minds, know some of the smartest people, and surround yourself with sycophants who suck up to you every day.
It’s not just that he doesn’t know history. It’s that he doesn’t need to because, for him, it’s all about attitude. Or, making others believe that reality is whatever comes out of his mouth.
It gets worse. The worse part is that some people actually believe him.
Well, the economy seems to be chugging along, particularly for those at the top. Unemployment is down, but those at the bottom have to work two jobs to make ends meet. In the meantime he’s started a trade war that will mean hard times for farmers and many other businesses while the struggling steel and coal sectors are being propped up. And a federal budget that is showing a massive debt that we have been putting on the credit card to China.
What I want to know is why does he even have advisors? Cabinet members? Public policy experts? Anyone trying to prepare him? What for? He already knows best. It’s all about attitude.
“It gets worse.” Let us count the ways. Woke up in the middle of the night worrying about the ways he’s destroying our relationships with allies even as he tries to “broker deals” with Russia and North Korea. What Twilight Zone are we in??

Yeah, good reason for being up in the night. Fate of the world in the hands of The Donald and Little Rocket Man. Yikes!
